Skills of Project Management Professionals

Summary

If you are interested in project management or if you are project management professional, you might already have project management related skills in your LinkedIn profile. Well then, do you know what skills do others similar to you have added to their profiles?

I have concluded that PMP, Project Management & Software Project management are the top three skills added to LinkedIn profiles based on my study.

You can find out the top 20 skills and related data and comments in this report.

How this report prepared?

I have observed what other peoples’ skills are, what skills are mostly added and which of them are mostly endorsed, while looking at profiles at LinkedIn(www.linkedin.com).

Based on this observation, I have examined the skills of the members of “PMPs at Turkey” (Original Name: Türkiye’deki PMP’ler) group, which I manage.

Members of “PMPs at Turkey” group, are located at Turkey and they were confirmed that they had a record at http://www.pmi.org/Certification/Credential-Registry.aspx which verifies that they have PMP® certification while they joined the group. People that are not confirmed cannot join the group. Therefore it is assumed that the group members are Project Management Professionals.

This report has been formed by the data of “PMPs at Turkey” LinkedIn group members, their skills and endorsement numbers. The data was collected at October 2014.
